The Lewis & Clark site, which incorporates sites for three linked schools (the College of Arts & Sciences, the Law School, and the Graduate School of Education & Counseling), launched in June of 2009.

Location: Portland, OR

CMS: LiveWhale

MVPs: David McKelvey, Morgan Grether

As part of the Lewis & Clark site redesign we created an umbrella design for the three sites that situates LC more directly in its Portland context while integrating a bold feature area, multimedia, and new channels of community-generated content. In particular, we helped LC to harness the power of content that their community was already generating, by encouraging them to aggregate blogs and content feeds from all over campus into a single hub.

The site also includes a number of custom-built applications designed and built by White Whale to address LC’s specific needs. These include MyLC, a customizable portal and feed reader for Lewis & Clark’s internal community of students, faculty and staff; and the Green, a community marketplace, forum and soapbox providing online common space for the LC community.

The site is managed with LiveWhale, our higher education-focused enterprise CMS.
